SUMMARY

Drives the design and implementation of training programs to address specific needs that have been identified within the organization. Oversees the content within the Learning Management System (LMS) and ensures timely training delivery and reporting.  Supervises a corporate Instructional Designer, managing workflow to ensure programs are developed in alignment with corporate priorities.  Conducts corporate training and educational programs as needed. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Partners with specific segments of the company including Distribution, Shared Services, and Store Operations, to discuss, create, and update training to meet the needs of that cohort.   

 

Manages projects, including those of the Instructional Designer, to ensure quality, accessibility, scope and scale. 

 

Assists Talent Management Systems Administrator in the day-to-day administration of the Learning Management System (LMS).  Identifies ways that delivery of training and/or reporting can provide added value to the organization.

 

Confers with management to gain knowledge of specific work situations requiring teammates to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies.

 

Develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.

 

Assists in the selection or development of testing and evaluation procedures to be used at completion of training.

 

Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as Performance Management, Leadership and other key corporate initiatives.

 

Revises design of training curriculum and methods to improve effectiveness.

 

Utilizes the Learning Management System to the fullest when delivering and monitoring these programs.

 

Designs and implements programs in support of new technologies secured by the IT department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Satisfactory performance reviews.

Valid driver's license

Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey information both verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization.

Strong organizational skills and ability to multi task.

High level of proficiency with Microsoft software, especially Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.

Knowledge of Articulate or SCORM software preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelors Degree in Education, Instructional Design or related field.

3+ years of program development or related experience required for senior level.

Retail background preferred.
