Shop General Clerk

SUMMARY

Performs duties related to the Truck Shop and Transportation that may be complex in nature and involves the application of standard procedures to support fleet operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains records and reports which may be complex in nature or require the knowledge of spreadsheet and/or database applications.
• Performs clerical tasks with a thorough knowledge of corporate policies and departmental procedures.
• Resolves non-routine questions; refers questions regarding policy and procedure implications to the area manager.
• Specific duties include but are not limited to:
• Process payroll, maintain attendance records for shop employees, assist mechanics maintain inspector licenses, process all paperwork including DMV registrations of all new company equipment, maintain and process insurance for company vehicles, maintain HUT and IFTA registrations, maintain EZ-Pass records, help facilitate the selling of company vehicles, renew all tandem permits, filing, answer phones, and assist leads or manager with daily tasks.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with acceptable abstract 
• Satisfactory performance reviews.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey information, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or equivalent.
