SUMMARY

Responsible for consistent reporting of all capital project budgets and actuals. Develop, manage and process construction project budgets, budget exceptions and change orders. Prepare project cost comparisons and analysis on past and current projects. Report monthly on current project financial overviews, project variance and cost trending. Maintain alignment of Project Cost Report with Golub accounting software, construction schedule of values and equipment forecasts.  Oversee Contract execution, Small CAPS Initiative and lead small CAP projects as assigned. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, monitor, coordinate and analyze the Project Cost Report (working closely with the Construction Project Manager) to complete reporting and exception reports to ensure accurate reporting based on project performance and perform monthly and quarterly variance reports for projects.
Conduct review (and required analysis) on assigned projects to identify errors, trends and anticipate budget adjustments. Responsible for making necessary corrections under direction of the Construction Project Manager or Director, Design & Construction to ensure accurate reporting by established deadlines.
Lead and manage annual small capital expenditure budget initiative; ensure accuracy of requests and verify price estimates.  Collaborate with Director, Design & Construction, Construction & Design PM's as well as Merchandising and Operations key stakeholders to finalize budget estimates and obtain approvals. Establish Capital Budgets, track progress, monitor costs and identify risk and opportunity areas.  Process budget exceptions when necessary
Responsible for timely reporting on issues affecting cash management and project performance and coordinate with Construction Project Manager on complex issues relating to monitoring construction performance and phasing that impact earnings and sales.
Coordinate and review monthly billing, AP processing and sub-consultant payments with Construction Project Manager and Contract Manager.
Coordinate project financial review meetings with key stakeholders.  Compile financial documentation and explain issues involving the following: budget, adjustments, and contracting.
Analyzes, controls and implements changes to construction cost reporting system. Responsible for training users of construction cost reporting system.
Support Construction Project Managers in purchase order process and invoice resolution. Review and approve project invoices for payment. 
Implement processes and procedures to improve workflow and increase efficiencies
Coordinate Project Cost Report and Equipment Purchasing Forecast with Sr. Equipment Coordinator.
Monitor and process personnel payroll records for Design and Construction department.
Create, manage and monitor internal administrative budgets for Cengo, Mill Shop, Purchasing and Engineering Administration.  Review monthly with stakeholders and Director, Design & Construction
Responsible for the execution of Construction, Refrigeration and Architectural bidding and contracts.  Manage and review AIA payment requests, contract changes & incoming lien waivers to ensure complete documentation is correct. Periodically review contract documents with Legal, Safety and Insurance departments to ensure compliance.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance preferred or 2-4 years exp. in project accounting in lieu of degree is also acceptable.
