Salary: $35.50- $35.50
SUMMARY
Trouble shoot system problems, maintain and repair all components of a refrigeration system, as well as all HVAC equipment, including accompanying electrical control devices and plumbing in a timely and professional manner. Adhere to all federal and local guidelines (EPA and OSHA) and in accordance with the company and department policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoot and repair commercial/industrial refrigeration systems to include: Freon, Ammonia, HVAC, Forced Air, chiller, and boiler design systems. Minor plumbing, electrical. Diagnosis of all problems related to equipment, including energy management systems, mechanical or electrical. Energy Management systems to include Interlogic software, Andover software and CFA software. Order and control inventory needs to maintain good operating control throughout distribution. Identify and provide justification when needed for equipment replacement and tools. Meet with vendors to get job pricing, show equipment location, oversee policies and procedures. Schedule daytoday work to be done and react to high priority jobs. Act as a trained emergency responder and be ready for a variety of emergency situations. Schedule all Pms of equipment and adhere to its completion. Maintain records for equipment per OSHA, EPA, and PSM program. Work with supervision, maintenance, electrical, dispatch, vendors and associates to keep equipment in good condition and assist others when needed. Maintain uptodate training of equipment design through RSES, RETA, and CDC classes. Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a valid Driver’s License. Must be 21 years of age. Must submit to DL Monitoring. Valid NYS driver’s license and clean driving record. EPA certification and documented certification card for handling refrigerants (Type I and II). Satisfactory performance reviews. Strong communication skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent. Degree from accredited HVAC and refrigeration vocational technical program.

The disclosed compensation range for this position is applicable within the state the position resides. The actual base pay offered will consider internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. The compensation range is one component of Price Chopper/Market 32 and Northeast Shared Services’ total compensation and benefits package, which includes, 401(k), 401(k) match, paid time off, comprehensive health benefits, and more.
