Accounts Payable Clerk

SUMMARY

The Accounts Payable Clerk (DSD) is responsible for monitoring and controlling invoice processing and to take necessary actions to ensure suppliers are paid in a timely manner with accuracy.  Analyze data and research discrepancies to ensure accurate vendor payments. Work with corporate department leads and associates for verifying approvals and all required research. 

Position located in the Buffalo, NY office

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to company policies and procedures
• Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors
• Work collaboratively with other internal departments and store personnel to address questions and concerns
• Light administrative duties including scanning and indexing of invoices
• Support the Account Payable team and Account Payable Manager with additional requests as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent, associate degree a plus
